The basic shave was OK, a bit uneven & inconsistent, not as close as I'd prefer ... but OK for an inexpensive cartridge. The lubricating strips seemed almost too eager, leaving behind a goopy residue. Switching cartridges was harder than any other blade system I've used — and, just to add to the fun, the only blade instructions were *entirely hidden* under the adhesive Amazon shipping label that covered one side of the box.But the precision trimmer was the deal-killer: By far the worst in my experience, uncomfortable and ineffective. Sandpaper would be easier on the face.On the bright side, Amazon promptly refunded my purchase price after a brief phone call. I'm just sorry that was necessary: I had high hopes for the Solimo blades, but they don't make the grade.

Been fighting paying for expensive razors for years. Tried dollar shave club, tried a variety of cheap disposables, and finally thought I’d give these a shot. Awful. Tore my face up. I finally raised the white flag and went back to Gillette fusion. Just shaved. Wow. Again, you get what you pay for. What a difference.

I chose this product for its price, and because it was advertised as having a trimmer blade. But the trimmer blade (on the rear of the blade head) is dull, essentially useless. On Gillette Fusion, that feature works well for sideburns, etc., although the product is considerably more expensive.

I shave my head and face using this. I don’t know if it’s the design or what, but my off brand razors works far more better than this. Don’t expect clean shave after few uses.

Initial use was good. When I went to shave a 2nd time, it barely cut. The moisture strip was working great, but even after running the razor over the same spot several times, I still had stubble. I'm used to the Gillette's Mach 3 that I can use for a month or two before having to switch heads.

I have been using Schick Hydro 5 but decided to try this to save a few dollars on refills. Clearly it is not as sharp or as well made as top-of-the-line name brand razors. I am giving it 2 stars for price but doesn't deserve even 2 for the shave you will get. Not recommended.

Purchased as a possible lower cost option to Harry's. They do not remotely compare in quality or performance. Even the Schick Extreme 3 disposables I travel with shave far better.

Oh Amazon, when will I stop listening to you? I don't know why I'm supposed to hate Gillette, but it seems I'm supposed to. With that in mind, a bunch of (bogus) 5 star reviews AND an 'Amazon Choice' I bought this NON-returnable garbage.I purchased Gillette Fusion refills in April 2017. Those 12 blades have lasted over 2 years. Is that bad? To some, it seems to be. I bought these Solimo razors to save a few bucks, but now have to buy the Gillette to replace this trash.I have a course beard that grows quickly, and I'm clean shaven. I've been shaving for over 40 years. First Solimo razor, I used I got tugs, pulls and razor burn. (The single 'edge trimmer' blade damn near cut me it was so rough) This 'new' blade felt like one of my other blades after 1 month of use. A new Gillette glides through my beard to the point I can barely feel it on my face. THAT is how a razor should be.Not sorry to all you Gillette haters. Go ahead and buy this crap. To the rest of you men who don't give a sh** about what other guys think about your razor choice. DON'T BUY THESE.

I’ve been using Dorco razors. Thought because of the high reviews and cheaper price I would try this razor. Lots of knicks and cuts. Lubricant strips are awful. Blades seem dull after using Dorcos. Can’t even use these, going back to Dorco razors

I am a female who shaves a LOT. My leg hair grows so fast it’s insane. I bought both this kit, as well as the women’s version of the same brand. Both are pretty affordable systems so I decided to see which one I liked better. My first shave with this one was decent, I had a nice close shave. The second time I used the same blade it just wasn’t the same... like the blade dulled down quick. I feel like it’s too small of a razor over all and doesn’t have a comfortable grip for shaving the body. I’ve had luck with other men’s razors so I figured it’d be the same, but I’m not a fan. I’ll stick to the women’s version of this.

The lube in these is crazy! It is extra thick and actually strings from the razor to my face It takes longer to wash off than it does to shave. Also the blades are pretty cheap compared to the Dorco blades that I usually buy. The bottom line for me is it takes many strokes to get the job done which results in some irritation.

Get what u pay for, the trim blade on the backside either sucks really bad or it’s Just a metal part of the razor that’s not intended to be a blade and I’m using it as one . Hard to tell. The front side is adequate, it’s not going to give you a premium feel, does pull on hair a bit more that name brand razors.

The feel of the razor handle is very nice but the razor does not give a close shave at all. With any other razor I've used I can usually shave every other day. With this one I have to shave everyday. I also have a dark 5 o clock shadow after I finish shaving with these.Its not an uncomfortable shave but it doesn't give me the close shave I want. I've used other razors in the same price range (Dorco, Schick Hydro) and those give a much better shave. I decided to give these a try but it was disappointing. I do not recommend them.

I've been searching for a decent razor that won't break the bank and was hoping that this would be it. Sadly, it is not. This razor is horrible. It pulls, tugs, and does not shave cleanly. I've tried 3 different blades out of the pack of 16 and they all have the same result.

Definitely not like Gillette. For the price you get what you pay for. In tight areas it is horrible like under your nose and behind your ears. The space between the blade and the guard on the top is too big. It takes me twice as long to shave with this than a Gillette. I shave my head and my face at the same time. The only positive is my girlfriend likes it for her legs. So maybe this is a better female razor than a male razor.
