Gives good enough shave with average comfort on my face. I really think the only way to decide if a razor works for you is to try it, but in comparison to my usual razor (Dorco Pace 7 - that works the best for my bread and face) it definitely is less comfortable, a little more irritation and not as good at shaving jawline.
Being a long-time user of the Dorco 6 blade system, I tried the Solimo 5-blade brand after I could no longer find the Dorco 6 blade refills at a reasonable price. While the price and features are attractive of these Solimo blades, I found them to be dull straight out of the box. Surprising for a fresh blade. I shave my head and face every other day and it's remarkable how much hair/stubble is left behind. I'll finish out this package of blades and probably will opt for a different blade system after these run out.
I've used Harry's and yes they advertise for free shipping, but sometimes their carriers have caused delays or deliveries take longer than planned. Here you can count on Amazon delivery on time and the products are good. Very good quality razor, recommend!
Great packaging for a rather dull blade for shaving my head. shaved a 1 inch by 1/4 inch chunk of skin off my head just out of the package. Thought I had found a replacement for Gillette.... nope, not even close. (no I am not a Gillette employee, but I've been shaving my head for 5 years with their blades)
So I finally ran out of my dollor shave club razors I bought in bulk and decided to try out this brand. I figured the swiveling head would be good for my neck as it is always a pain.Upon using about 6 of the blades, let me tell you they sucked for me. I knicked myself 3 or 4 times in that short time, which is more than the previous few years combined. And my neck, which the swiveling head should be good for, is worse than ever.I don't claim to be any kind of shaving expert but these razors were pretty bad imo
It is a very nice razor. Very close shave and smooth. No irritation.December 14, 2019.I drove big rigs for 33 yrs. That said, this razor is awesome! Most all store brands are quality well known popular products. I was picking up a load of potato chips in a warehouse in the S.F. Bay Area. I noticed that a store brand name of potato chips was stacked up in this very popular and very good and well known company of potato chip products. What I am saying is, this razor IS a very good shavor, equal to that of others on the market. By it, it shaves, it is smooth and it cost less and made very well too. I love it and have no regrets. Had dollar shave club but wasn’t using the blades as often as they were being sent.Decided to try this razor out and it’s very comparable, but slightly less expensive and I can use the blades at my own pace.
I bought these due to the rave reviews and seemingly great price. The shaving head is too large in relation to the positioning of the blades, there is no trimming blade (which I thought was listed as a feature), and the lubricating strip creates a nasty slime as soon as it gets wet, which is odd and annoying. So, instead of saving money by buying these razors, I am actually out $20 and have a bunch of razor heads that I will never use. I definitely do not recommend.
